Urbandale Mayor Honors Webster Elementary School Student Council
Mayor Bob Andeweg presented Webster Elementary School student council members with a Shoe Recycling Award.

Webster Elementary School partnered with the City of Urbandale to collect old athletic shoes, as part of a ReUSE A SHOE campaign coordinated by the City.Â
This campaign was a partnership with the City, local area schools and the Metro Waste Authority (MWA).Â
During a week in January students at Webster Elementary School collected old worn out athletic shoes for recycling. The Student Council lead the collection efforts at Webster Elementary School.
Webster Elementary School collected 158 pairs of shoes to be recycled in the Nike ReUSE A SHOE program.Â

Mayor Bob Andeweg met with the Webster Elementary School's Student Council on February 22nd to present the Council a certificate of excellence for their campaign and $158 check - one dollar for each pair of old athletic shoes collected.
