The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for parts of central Iowa including the city Waukee still in effect until Wednesday morning.
Today we'll see patchy frost before 9 a.m. with otherwise sunny skies and a high near 56.

The forecast according to the National Weather Service is as follows:
Wednesday: Areas of frost before 9 a.m. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 57. North northeast wind between 5 and 7 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. East southeast wind around 8 mph.
Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 57. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
