1) Brad Tofteland Memorial Youth Wrestling Tournament
The 3rd Annual Brad Tofteland Memorial Youth Wrestling Tournament is today at . Weigh-in begins at 7 a.m. Wrestling begins at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds from the youth wrestling tournament will go toward the Brad Tofteland Memorial Scholarship for wrestlers and managers in the Waukee High School wrestling program.
2) Sears Hometown Store Grand Opening Event

The will hold its grand opening today from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Attendees will have the chance to meet Sears Hometown Store's owner Lee Mundus and enjoy free refreshments. You will also receive an extra 10% off purchases, $25 gift cards for the first 10 customers and a chance to win a $250 gift card.Â
The will be in attendance to talk about public safety from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., the will talk about fire safety from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. , and the will be there as well. Radio station 100.3 The Bus will do a live remote from the Sears Hometown Store from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.Â

3) Waukee Boys Varsity Swim Meet
The Waukee boys varsity swim team will face Ames, Fort Dodge, Mason City, West Des Moines Valley and Marshalltown in the CIML Iowa Conference Invitational in Marshalltown today beginning at 2:30 p.m.
4) The Home Grown Tomatoes at ArtsCentral
The Home Grown Tomatoes will perform at today at 7 p.m as part of the 's Home Grown Talent series. Mixing humor and energy in every performance, a Home Grown Tomatoes show is an organic music mix of life in Iowa. Their performance is a combination of American Gothic yearning, mid-western practicality, and stubborn romanticism mixed with humor and terminal sensibility.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and are available by calling (515) 402-7870, at Waukee Hardware or at the door the night of the performance (if seating is available).
