Five Things in Waukee: Basketball, a Winter Party, Peak Performance Discussion and Patch Stuff
Here's everything you need to know today, Jan. 27, and some other stuff, too.

1) Waukee Basketball
The Waukee boys and girls basketball teams face Fort Dodge today in Waukee. The girls JV team plays at Waukee High School at 4:45 p.m. followed by the girls varsity team at 6:15 p.m. and the boys varsity at 7:45 p.m.
The boys 10th grade team plays at Prairieview School at 4:45 p.m. with the boys 9th grade game at 6:15 p.m. and the girls 9th grade game at 7:45 p.m.

2) St. Boniface Church Winter Party
The annual St. Boniface Catholic Church's Winter Party will be held tonight from 7 to 10 p.m. in St. Boniface Hall. This is an adults only event and will include food, music, prizes and fun.

3) Fueling Peak Performance at Absolute Performance Therapy
Athletes of all ages and sports, parents and coaches are encouraged to attend this free presentation from speakers Alyssa Subbert and Josh Lawrence, Saturday at Absolute Performance Therapy from 1-2:30 p.m. They will discuss how to start a resistance training program based on your needs, foods that increase the body's endurance during activity, nutrients that help that body recover from difficult work outs, and more!
