Five Things in Waukee: Back-to-School, Waukee Sports and Caucus Night

1) Back to School

Students in all 10 will return to class today after a long winter break. Start times are as usual.

2) Waukee Public Library Friends & Foundation Meeting

If you have an interest in getting more involved with the , the Friends and Foundation group will hold their monthly meeting tonight at the Waukee Public Library at 6:30 p.m.

3) Waukee Sports

The boys and girls basketball teams will play the Lincoln High School Railsplitters today at Lincoln High School. The 10th grade boys will play at 4:45 p.m. followed by the girls varsity game at 6:15 p.m. The varsity boys will play at 7:45 p.m.

The girls JV basketball team will also play Lincoln High School at Lincoln South 9th Grade school at 4:45 p.m.

The Waukee wrestlers will wrestle Mason City and Norwalk at Waukee High School today. The JV and varsity squads will begin at 5:30 p.m.

4) Caucus Night

Tonight is caucus night in Iowa. The 2012 Republican Precinct Caucus begins promptly at 7 p.m. You must be registered Republican to vote.

Waukee precincts are as follows:

Waukee 1 Precinct - Maple Grove Elementary School, 1455 98th St., West Des Moines

Waukee 2 Precinct - Waukee South Middle School, 2350 S.E. LA Grant Pkwy, Waukee

Waukee 3 Precinct - Point of Grace Church, 305 N.E. Dartmoor Drive, Waukee

Waukee 4 Precinct - Walnut Hills Elementary School, 4240 N.W. 156th St., Urbandale
