Five Things in Waukee: Blood Profiles, Library Fun, Booster Club and a Christmas Drive

Here's everything you need to know today, Dec. 7, and some other stuff too.

1) Blood Profiles at the Waukee Family YMCA

The Iowa Health-Des Moines Corporate Wellness Services will provide community blood profiles ad screenings today from 6:30 -8:30 a.m. at the Waukee Family YMCA.

2) Waukee Public Library Activities

Looking for a little something to do with the kids today? The has preschool storytime for ages 3-6 at 10:15 a.m. Babies and books is also held at 10:15 a.m. This program is for pre-walkers and a caregiver. Songs, books and rhymes are included.

Also today, the Waukee Library will be hosting an activity for teens. Teen button making will begin at 3:30 p.m.

3) Waukee Athletic Booster Club Meeting

The Waukee Athletic Booster Club will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Waukee High School commons. The Booster Club meets the first Wednesday of every month.

4) Today's Weather

Expect mostly sunny skies today with a high near 31. Tonight, mostly cloudy with a low around 18.

5) Waukee Police Department Christmas Drive

Did you know the is holding a Christmas Drive? Now until Dec. 16, donations of canned goods, paper products, and personal hygiene products along with new, unwrapped toys will be accepted at the Waukee Police Department. Items can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you wish to make a monetary donation, make the check payable to the "Waukee Christmas Fund."
