2) Waukee YMCA Preschool/Kindergarten Basketball Clinics

The Waukee YMCA will host a basketball clinic today at beginning at 1 p.m. The clinic is open to preschool and kindergarten-aged students.

Registration is also open for the second session of the preschool/kindergarten basketball clinic that begins in January.  There will also be a kindergarten basketball league that runs February through March. Registration for the league Dec. 1.

3) Waukee YMCA Adult Men's Basketball League

The Waukee YMCA will host an adult men's basketball league today at 5 p.m. at the Waukee Family YMCA.

Another men's league will begin in February or March.  Please email joel.goetsch@dmymca.org if you are interested in participating.

4) Today's Weather

It's going to be the perfect day to put up those Christmas lights if you haven't already done so. It's going to be sunny and mild with a high around 40. Tonight, mostly clear skies with a low near 30.

5) Vote for your Favorite Tree at the Waukee Public Library

There is still time to vote for your favorite tree or wreath at the Foundation's Festival of Trees.  Voting is open through Monday, Dec. 12.  Votes cost $1.00 each and ballot-box stuffing in encouraged.  All proceeds will purchase new library books and movies.  The trees and wreaths with the most votes will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
