Five Things in Waukee: Early Out, Fun at the Library and Deadline for Non-Profits

1) Early Dismissal
Don't forget! Today is early dismissal for all Waukee Schools. Elementary schools will dismiss today at 1:40 p.m. Secondary schools dismiss at 12:50 p.m.

Looking for a little something to do with the kids today? The has preschool storytime for ages 3-6 at 10:15 a.m. Babies and books is also held at 10:15 a.m. This program is for pre-walkers and a caregiver. Songs, books and rhymes are included.
Also today, the Waukee Library will be hosting an activity for teens. Glass etching will begin at 3:30 p.m.

3) Non-Profit Funding Applications Due Today
Earlier this year, the approved a policy that limits funding for area non-profits. As part of the new policy, Waukee area organizations need to apply for funding in the upcoming 2013 budget year by submitting a formal letter to the city. The deadline to submit this letter is today by 5 p.m. at Waukee City Hall.
