Five Things in Waukee: Early Out, Fun at the Library, Holiday Lights Tour and Rain in December

1) Early Dismissal
Don't forget! Today is early dismissal for all Waukee Schools. Elementary schools will dismiss today at 1:40 p.m. Secondary schools dismiss at 12:50 p.m.

Looking for a little something to do with the kids today? The has preschool storytime for ages 3-6 at 10:15 a.m. Babies and books is also held at 10:15 a.m. This program is for pre-walkers and a caregiver. Songs, books and rhymes are included. Teen karaoke will be held today at 1:30 p.m.Â

3) Holiday Lights Tour - CANCELLED
The Holiday Lights Tour scheduled for this evening has been cancelled. For more information contact the Waukee Parks and Recreation office at (515) 978-0007.
4) Waukee Chamber of Commerce Networking Luncheon Thursday
Join the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce for the December Networking Luncheon Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Village at Legacy Pointe. Proceeds will benefit Home Instead Senior Care's "Be a Santa to a Senior" program and the Waukee Christmas Drive. Cost is $20 in advance and $25 per person the day of the luncheon. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to www.waukeechamber.com/registration.
5) Today's Weather
It's December? Really? Today, rain is likely, with possible thunderstorms and a high near 51 degrees. Tonight, more rain and mostly cloudy with a low around 31.
