Five Things in Waukee: From Pancakes to Marching Bands
Here's what's going on in Waukee today, Oct. 15, and some other stuff you might want to know.

1) Waukee Fire Association Pancake Breakfast
Head to the Waukee Fire Station this morning for an "All You Can Eat" Pancake Breakfast from 7-11 a.m. They are also having a food drive. All non-perishable food items will be donated to the Waukee Food Pantry. Breakfast is $5 for ages 5 and up. Children 4 and under are free.
2) “Ride to the Ribbon” Ribbon-Cutting

Join the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Waukee, City of Dallas Center and Dallas County Conservation Board for the “Ride to the Ribbon” today at 9 a.m. The ride celebrates the completion of the Raccoon River Trail between Waukee and Dallas Center (between 270th St./Meredith Drive.) 3) Drive One 4 UR School

Stivers Ford will be raising money for the Waukee Band Program today at Waukee Stadium from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The fundraiser, Drive One 4 UR School, or every test drive of a Ford vehicle, Stivers will donate $20 to the Waukee Band Program. One test drive per household and drivers must be 18 years of age to drive.
4) Waukee Marching Invitational
Looking for a great night of music and fun for the whole family? Head on over to Waukee Stadium at 5 p.m. today for the Waukee Marching Invitational. http://www.waukeebands.org/wmi/welcome.html. There are 19 marching bands from across the state competing. The Waukee High School Regiment will perform in an exhibition performance at 10:10 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
