Five Things in Waukee: Library Activities, Team Dinner, A Life Changing Class and the Daddy Daughter Dance
Here's everything you need to know today, Feb. 8, and some other stuff, too.

1) Activities at the Waukee Public Library
Looking for something fun to do with the kids today? Check out Playful Preschoolers at 10 a.m. at the . Playful Preschoolers is for children ages 3 to 6. It includes read-aloud stories, songs and rhymes followed by a craft.
Babies and Books also meets at 10 a.m. It's for pre-walkers (babies approximately birth to 18 mos.) with a caregiver. There will be songs, books and rhymes. Only one child per caregiver is recommended.

There will also be a teen-sized Candyland game beginning at 3:30 p.m. today. All teens are invited to participate.
2) Girls Basketball Team Dinner at Waukee High School

The girls basketball team will host a team dinner in the Waukee High School commons tonight beginning at 6 p.m.
3) "Pursuit" by Life Changers Counseling
is offering an eight week study session called "Pursuit: See as God Sees and Love as God Loves" beginning tonight at 6:30 p.m. The class has three sections: seeing God as He is, seeing ourselves as God sees us and seeing others as God sees them.
There is no cost to attend and children's programming will be available at the same time. Life Changers Counseling is located at .

5) Register for the 2012 Daddy Daughter Dance
There will be a Daddy/Daughter Dance at on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. Dads are invited to bring their favorite Valentines (ages 2-22) to this fund-raising event supporting Waukee High School's After-Prom Party.
Cost is $25 per couple and $10 for each additional daughter. Registration is required. The registration form is attached.
