Five Things in Waukee: Library Fun, the Booster Club, a Christmas Drive and Nasty Weather
Here's what's going on in Waukee today, Nov. 2, and some other stuff you might want to know.

1) Activities at the Waukee Public Library
Looking for something for the kids to do today? Take them to the . Preschool storytime, for ages 3-6, begins at 10:15 a.m. Babies and Books, for ages birth to 18 mos., lets the little ones participate in songs, books and rhymes. It's also held at 10:15 a.m. No registration required. Only one child per caregiver, please.
For the older set, today's teen program is duct tape crafts beginning at 3:30 p.m.

2) Waukee Athletic Booster Club Meeting
The Waukee Athletic Booster Club will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Waukee High School commons. The Booster Club meets the first Wednesday of every month.

3) Waukee Police Department Christmas Drive
The launched its Christmas Drive yesterday. The program provides toys, food and other items to area low-income families in time for the holidays.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys will be taken at the Waukee Police Department now through December 16. Donations of food and other non-perishable items can be made directly to the Waukee Area Christian Services Food Pantry.Â
The Waukee Police are asking those who want to make a monetary donation to make checks payable to the Waukee Christmas Fund.
4) The Weather

5) Did You Know?
Did you know that Waukee High School is putting on a show? Tickets are now on sale for the Waukee Theatre Arts production of "The Elephant Man" Nov. 11 & 12 at the Theatre Arts Center at . Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at http://www.seatyourself.biz/waukeetheatrearts.
