Five Things in Waukee: Library Fun, Waukee Sports, Fine Arts and a Band Concert

1) Activities at the Waukee Public Library

Looking for something to do today? Why not check out some of the activities at the ? The Playful Preschoolers class, for children ages 3 to 6, includes read-aloud stories, songs and rhymes followed by a craft. It's offered at 10 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. today.

2) Waukee Sports

Come out and support your Waukee Warrior athletics teams today.

The boys and girls, JV and varsity bowling teams will meet Marshalltown High School today at Warrior Lanes at 3:30 p.m.

The South Middle School 8th grade boys will face Phillips Middle School at 4:30 p.m. at South Middle School. The Waukee Middle School 8th grade boys will play Indian Hills Middle School at Indian Hills Junior High at 4:30 p.m.

The Waukee High School girls JV basketball team will play Urbandale at Prairieview School at 4:45 p.m.

The Waukee High School 10th grade boys basketball team will host Urbandale at Waukee High School today at 4:45 p.m. The girls varsity game will follow at 6:15 p.m. with the boys varsity squad playing at 7:45.

3) Walnut Hills Elementary 2nd Grade Fine Arts Night

The 2nd grade Fine Arts Night will be held this evening beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Walnut Hills Elementary School. There is no charge to attend.

4) South Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Band Pop Concert

The Waukee South Middle School 7th & 8th grade band concert will be held in the large gym at South Middle School tonight at 7 p.m.
