1) No School in Waukee
It's a teacher work day in Waukee which means no school for students in the Waukee Community School District today.
2) Family Movie Matinee at the Waukee Public Library

The is showing a family movie matinee today. The Library will play, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" (rated PG) at 2 p.m. Cupcakes and popcorn will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring their own drinks. There is no charge to attend.

Come out and support your Waukee Warrior athletic teams today.
The 8th grade boys basketball team will face Marshalltown Miller Middle School at South Middle School today at 4:30 p.m.
The boys 10th grade basketball team will play Lenihan Intermediate School at Lenihan Intermediate School in Marshalltown at 4:45 p.m.
The Waukee High School girls and boys basketball teams will each face Marshalltown today at Marshalltown High School. The girls JV team plays at 4:45 p.m., girls varsity at 6:15 p.m. with the boys varsity game at 7:45 p.m.
4) Married Life Live at Point of Grace Church
Looking for ways to solidify your marriage? Come to Point of Grace this weekend for the Married Life Live event. The seminar begins at 7 p.m. Friday and includes dessert and a beverage. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served on Saturday.Â
Cost for the Friday workshop is $20 per couple. Saturday's session will begin at 9 a.m. and costs $79 per couple.Â

5) Waukee Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coffee Saturday
Join the Waukee Chamber of Commerce as they host a Legislative Coffee this Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Waukee City Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall.
Residents are encouraged to come and enjoy a cup of coffee and converse with their local legislators. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to www.waukeechamber.com/registration. There is no charge to attend.
