2) Waukee Area Food Pantry Services

is open today from 9-11 a.m. offering non-perishable food and personal items for those living in the Waukee School District or those with approval from local churches. The food pantry is located in the lower level of .

3) Activities at the Waukee Public Library

Looking for something fun to do for the kids today? Why not take a class at the ? Time for Twos is for toddlers 2-3 years-old. Children and caregivers will enjoy songs, finger plays, and read-aloud stories, followed by playtime. Time for Twos meets at 11 a.m.

Pajama Time family story time will be held tonight at 6:45 p.m. It's open to the entire family.

4) Waukee Sports

There are plenty of Waukee athletic teams competing today. Come out and show your support for the Warriors!

The boys and girls, JV and varsity bowling teams will face West Des Moines Valley today at Val Lanes beginning at 3:45 p.m.

The Waukee Middle School 8th grade boys basketball team will face Johnston at at 4:30 p.m.

The South Middle School 8th grade boys basketball team will face Indianola Middle School at 4:30 p.m. at .

The 9th grade boys basketball team will play Valley Southwoods at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School at 4:45 p.m.

The 9th grade girls basketball team will play West Des Moines Valley at at 4:45 p.m.

The girls JV basketball team will play Ankeny Centennial at Ankeny High School at 6:30 p.m. with the boys 10th grade game also against Ankeny Centennial there at 7:45 p.m.

5) Fifth Grade Parent Night at South Middle School

There will be an information session for parents of 6th grade students who will attend during the 2012-13 school year tonight at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria at South Middle School. Feeder schools for this session are Eason Elementary, Brookview El­ementary, and Maple Grove Elementary.
