Five Things in Waukee: Show Choir, Youth Basketball, Waukee Sports and Higher Temps

1) Saturday School at South Middle School

Saturday school will be from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. today at .

2) Waukee Star Struck Show Choir Invitational

The Waukee Star Struck Show Choir Invitational is at Waukee High School today beginning at 8:30 a.m. The show choir competition will feature 10 mixed groups and six prep groups. Performance times for each show choir are listed here.

3) YMCA Youth Basketball

The will host a basketball clinic today at beginning at 9 a.m. The clinic is open to first and second grade students. Registration for the first and second grade basketball league began on Dec. 1.  The season will run February through March. 

The Waukee YMCA will host basketball league games today at at 9 a.m. Leagues games also take place at Maple Grove and Brookview Elementary schools.  Extended league registration began Jan. 1. League games start Feb. 4.  There are no practices during the week for this program, only games on Saturdays.

4) Waukee Sports

Come out and support Waukee athletics today.

The boys varsity swimming invitational vs. Southeast Polk High School at Southeast Polk begins at 10 a.m.

The Waukee wrestling varsity tournament vs. Adel-DeSoto-Minburn at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn starts at 10 a.m.
