Five Things in Waukee This Saturday: Sports, a Coffee, a Valentine's Dance and the Big Band Sound
Here's everything you need to know today, Feb. 11, and some other stuff, too.

1) Waukee Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coffee
Join the as they host a Legislative Coffee this morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Waukee City Council Chambers at
Residents are encouraged to come and enjoy a cup of coffee and converse with their local legislators. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to www.waukeechamber.com/registration. There is no charge to attend.

2) Iowa YMCA Sectional Swim Meet at the Waukee Family YMCA
The will host the 2012 Iowa YMCA Sectional Swim Championship today beginning at 10 a.m. Teams from seven different YMCAs will compete in state qualifying meet with more than 300 swimmers expected.

The aquatics center will close at 7:30 a.m. today and will reopen at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Due to the needs of the meet, an updated facility schedule for Saturday is as follows:
Studio A will be closed for the day.
Studio B
7:00-7:50am     Yoga
8:30-9:20am       Y-Pump
9:30-10:20am     Step
10:30-11:20am   Family Yoga
11:30-12:20pm   Fitness Mix-Up for Kids
Studio C
8:00-9:00am      Cycling
9:15-10:45am   Cycling Yellow Jersey
Wellness Center will be open from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m. for members.
Gyms are closed for the day. No classes or open gym time.
3) Waukee Sports
There will be two big Waukee sporting events today. Come out and support your favorite Warrior teams.
The Waukee varsity wrestling district tournament vs. Dowling Catholic at Dowling Catholic High School will begin at 12 p.m.
The Waukee boys swim team will compete in the boys varsity state swimming tournament today at the Marshalltown YMCA in Marshalltown beginning at 12:30 p.m.
4) Daddy Daughter Dance at Prairieview School
There will be a Daddy Daughter Dance at tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. Dads are invited to bring their favorite Valentines (ages 2-22) to this fund-raising event supporting 's After-Prom Party.
Cost is $25 per couple and $10 for each additional daughter.
5) Waukee Big Band at ArtsCentral
Bring your sweetheart and your dancing shoes to the Valentine's dance and concert tonight at . Guests can hit the dance floor or just sit and enjoy the sounds of the Waukee Big Band as they play the big band sounds of the 1940s.
The concert will be held at 7 p.m. at ArtsCentral. Single tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets are available by calling (515) 402-7870, at , or the night of the performance, if tickets are still available.
