Five Things in Waukee This Weekend: Sports, Snow and More

1. Waukee Wrestling, Basketball and Swimming

Come out and support your favorite Waukee Warrior athletic teams this weekend.

Friday - The Waukee High School wrestlers will compete in the varsity wrestling invitational at Southeast Polk High School beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The Waukee High School boys and girls basketball teams face West Des Moines Valley at the Valley High School Fieldhouse. The 10th grade boys play at 4:45 p.m., girls JV at 4:45 p.m., girls varsity at 6:15 p.m. and boys varsity at 7:45 p.m.
Saturday - The Waukee High School JV wrestlers will compete in the JV wrestling invitational at Mason City High School at 10 a.m.
The boys varsity district swim meet vs. Southeast Polk High School at Southeast Polk High School at 12 p.m.

2. Waukee Community School District Foundation Dinner & Silent Auction

The Waukee Community School District Foundation Annual Dinner and Silent Auction will be held Saturday night at 7 pm. at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines. Join the fun and cut loose into the ’80′s at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines. Cocktails and silent auction at 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m. and live auction at 8 p.m. ’80′s attire is encouraged!

Tickets available on Rev Trak, http://waukee.revtrak.net, for $50 per person $30 per staff member.

3. St. Boniface Catholic Church Have-a-Heart Luncheon

will host its Have-a-Heart Luncheon Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Church. This is a benefit luncheon to raise money for community service outreach projects. Tickets are $80 for an eight person table.

4. The Waukee Family YMCA Preschool/Kindergarten Clinic

The Waukee YMCA will host a basketball clinic Sunday at beginning at 1 p.m. The clinic is open to preschool and kindergarten-aged students.

There will also be a kindergarten basketball league that runs February through March.
