Five Things in Waukee: Wrestling, Santa's Workshop and "Spy School"

1) JV and Varsity Wrestling vs. Bondurant-Farrar

The JV and varsity wrestlers will take on Bondurant-Farrar today beginning at 8 a.m. at the Bondurant-Farrar Middle School, 300 Garfield St. S.W. in Bondurant. The JV matmen wrestle the Bluejays at 8 a.m. The varsity squad begins at 11 a.m.

2) Santa’s Workshop at the Waukee Public Library

Santa and his helpers will descend upon the Waukee Public Library this morning for a little holiday fun. From 10 a.m. to noon, kids of all ages can join Santa Claus for fun holiday crafts, a cup of hot chocolate and candy canes.

3) “Spy School” at the Theatre Arts Center

The 8th grade and combined play, "Spy School" shows tonight at 7 p.m. at the Theatre Arts Center at Admission is $5 per person and can be purchased at Seat Yourself.

4) Today’s Weather

You can expect rain throughout the day today with a high near 40. Tonight, rain and snow mix before midnight with a low around 25.

5) Did You Know?

Did you know the has a new communications coordinator? Nicole Lawrence is a graduate of Grand View University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and most recently, she worked for Southeast Polk schools as their communications coordinator.
