1) Katie's Crusaders Walk/Run & Ribbon-Cutting

Join the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce this morning to welcome new member Katie's Crusaders to the Chamber with a ribbon-cutting at 8:10 a.m. Katie's Crusaders will hold its 3rd Annual 5k run/walk & 10k run starting at 8:00 a.m. at Centennial Park in Waukee  All proceeds from the event benefit local families during their fight against breast cancer.  To learn more about the event, visit www.katiescrusaders.org. 2) Eason Family Fun Night

's Family Fun Night will be held today from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Eason Elementary.

3) Immanuel Lutheran Church Bazaar

The will hold its annual church bazaar today from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The bazaar will feature soup mixes, jam, salsa, fall & Christmas items, items for American Girl Dolls, P. Buckley Moss print, baby gift items, candy & bake sale, and a table of trunk & junk. Coffee cake & coffee will be served.

4) ValleyFest and the Waukee High School Marching Band

The will be performing at the ValleyFest Showdown Marching Festival today. The first performance is at 2:00 p.m. with awards at 3:15 p.m. The showdown's performance will be at 7:30 p.m. with awards at 11:10 p.m. The performance is at Valley High School's stadium on Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines.
