Five Things Waukee Residents Should Know: Breakfast, a Road Closure and Waukee Sports

1) Breakfast Before Business

The is sponsoring its monthly Breakfast Before Business event at the Waukee City Council Chambers today from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Please RSVP to www.waukeechamber.com/registration

2) Warrior Lane Road Closure

Today through Friday, Oct. 14, the east lane (northbound traffic) of Warrior Lane between University Avenue and Park Road will be closed for the construction of the Warrior Lane storm sewer improvement project. The street will be open from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and again from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. to accommodate the school traffic.

Prairieview School ninth-grade girls' volleyball vs. West Des Moines Valley at Prairieview School - 5 p.m.

Waukee High School JV girls' volleyball vs. West Des Moines Valley at Waukee High School - 5 p.m.

Waukee High School girls' swim meet vs. West Des Moines Valley at the Waukee Family YMCA - 5 p.m.

Waukee High School varsity girls' volleyball vs. West Des Moines Valley at Waukee High School - 6:30 p.m.

4) Waukee Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting

The Waukee Planning & Zoning Commission will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Waukee City Hall Council Chambers. The next meeting of the commission will be held Oct. 25.

5) Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting 

The of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting today at 6:30 p.m. at the Waukee Public Library. If you're not able to attend, the next meeting will be held on Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m.
