Five Things Waukee Residents Should Know: Sept. 11
Here's what's going on in Waukee today and some other stuff you might want to know.

1) Point of Grace Dedication and Services
Point of Grace will host a 9/11 remembrance reception and services today in addition to the dedication of a "freedom rock." The reception begins at 7:30 a.m. The dedication will be at 8:30 a.m. The 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services will also honor the anniversary of 9/11.
2) Jewish Federation Community School Opens

Join members of the Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines for the opening of The Jewish Federation Community School. The Jewish community will gather today at Caspe Terrace, 33158 Ute Ave., for a ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m. A brunch will follow.
3) Boys Cross Country Team Dinner

Participants in boys' cross country will celebrate their season with a dinner at Waukee High School tonight at 5 p.m.

Did you know that two churches meet in Waukee schools every Sunday? Waukee Community Church meets at Prairieview School beginning at 7:30 a.m. Westwind Church meets at South Middle School at 8 a.m.
