Growth in Dallas County is 7th Fastest in the United States
Recent number from the Census Bureau show Dallas County as the seventh fastest growing county in the nation.

The population of Dallas County is on the rise again making it the seventh fastest growing county in the United States.
According to the latest figures released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau, Dallas County’s population in July 2011 totaled 69,444, a bump of more than 3,300 people since April 2010. That's a 5 percent increase in Dallas County's overall population.
According to an article in the Des Moines Register, between 2000 and 2010, Dallas County’s population jumped by more than 62 percent, the most growth of any Iowa county.

It's unknown how much of Waukee’s recent growth factored into those numbers but in 2010, the population of Waukee was at 13,790 people, up 169 percent from 2000.
