Is Bicycle Safety a Partisan Issue?
Desmund Adams, Democratic candidate for Senate district 22, talked to a group of bicyclists this week about their concerns over bicycle safety.
Earlier this week, Desmund Adams, Democratic candidate for Senate district 22, spoke with a group of area bicyclists who say Iowa Legislators aren't concerned about bicyclists in Iowa.
An unidentified cyclist was quoted in the video saying that Iowa, "is one of the few states that does not have a safe passing law to get around bicyclists." He adds that there have been efforts to get a law through the House and Senate but to no avail.
"I just scratch my head and can't understand how bike safety can be a partisan issue," he said.
