The is showing a family movie matinee today. The Library will play, "The Smurfs" (rated PG) at 2 p.m. Cupcakes and popcorn will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring their own drinks. There is no charge to attend.
4) Local Cancer Research Participants Needed
The American Cancer Society's Epidemiology is inviting men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 years who have never personally been diagnosed with cancer to join a Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). Participation is easy and local enrollment in the Des Moines area is being made possible in partnership with Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines and Iowa Methodist Hospital.
