Memorial Day in Waukee; What's Open, What's Closed?

Memorial Day is Monday, May 28. What are your plans?

The will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Monday. With the Clive Aquatic Center opening this weekend, relief from the toasty temps is near. The center's hours are 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays; 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Valley View Aquatic Center in West Des Moines doesn't open until June 2.

The is closed Monday but will reopen on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Bring the kids out Tuesday for the Scholastic Book Fair and to register for the Summer Reading Program.

Yard waste collection will be on Tuesday due to the holiday. Also, there is no mail service on Monday.

The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will not operate bus service on Monday, May 28, in observation of Memorial Day. Service will resume Tuesday, May 29.
