National Weather Service Issues a Winter Storm Warning for Waukee
There is a winter storm warning in effect until Monday, Feb. 6 for most of central Iowa including the city of Waukee.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Dallas County that includes the city of Waukee.
Heavy snow is expected across parts of central Iowa late tonight through Saturday.There will be a gradual transition from rain to snow starting this evening. Four to eight inches of snow is possible with gusty winds making visibility difficult by Saturday afternoon.
This winter storm warning is in effect beginning at midnight tonight through 6 a.m. Sunday.

The has issued a snow ordinance effective today (Friday) at 5 p.m. until Monday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. During this time, residents are asked to move their vehicles off the streets to allow for plowing and to be mindful of road conditions as they could become dangerous.
