And rain seems to be a sure thing; the forecasters put the likelihood overnight at 100 percent.

But there is some silver lining. Despite the rain and storms, we should all keep relatively warm. The seven-day forecast calls for highs in the 60s and 70s; the normal high for this time of year is 50.
