Ron Paul Asks Supporters to Pay for Million-Dollar Ad Campaign

An impassioned e-mail from Ron Paul to his supporters asks them to pony up donations to pay for a million dollar advertising campaign this week. The two new ads will run in both Iowa and New Hampshire.

He's Ron Paul and he approved this message, but he's going to need your donation to pay for it.

In an e-mail sent to subscribers on the RonPaul2012 website, Paul makes an impassioned plea for money to pay for a nearly one-million-dollar ad campaign set to begin running this week.

"Big Dog," the first of two new ads this week running in both Iowa and New Hampshire, poses Paul as a bulldog against big government as he aims to make huge cost-saving cuts to the tune of $1 trillion in spending in his first term in office.

The second ad, "Serial Hypocrisy," is a shorter version of a web ad Paul released a week ago targeting Newt Gingrich and his alleged less-than-conservative values.

"I am the only candidate with a plan for a one-year, trillion-dollar spending cut and a balanced budget within one term," Paul writes in his e-mail. "But it's up to you and me to make sure the voters understand the facts. ... I must raise $1 million this week to fully run both "Serial Hypocrisy" and "Big Dog" in both Iowa and New Hampshire. So please be as generous as you can."
