Six Deer-Versus-Vehicle Accidents Reported So Far in Waukee in 2012

There seem to be a rash of deer versus vehicle accidents lately in Waukee. 

On March 28, of Waukee struck a deer in the 2400 block of Southeast LA Grant Parkway. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,500.

Prior to that, on March 16, a vehicle driven by of Pleasant Hill was struck by a deer. Vehicle damage in that accident was estimated at $1,000.

Late in the evening of April 3, a vehicle driven by Ismedina Mustedanagic of Waukee was driving southbound in the 3100 block of Ute Avenue when a deer appeared in the roadway.

Mustedanagic swerved to miss the animal and drove into a ditch. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

So far in 2012, Waukee police reports describe at least six reported deer vs. vehicle accidents.

April 2

A vehicle driven by Andrew DePhillips of Urbandale was struck by a vehicle driven by Lorelle Buck of Dallas Center. Vehicle damage was estimated at $11,500.

April 4

A vehicle driven by Ann Wagener of West Des Moines was struck by a vehicle driven by Edgar Baker of Waukee. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,400.

A vehicle driven by Sarah Ripperger of Urbandale was struck by a vehicle driven by Lynn Clayton of West Des Moines. Vehicle damage was estimated at $5,000.

April 5

A vehicle driven by Taylor Bryant of Waukee was struck by a vehicle driven by Kevin Hayes of Urbandale. Vehicle damage was estimated at $3,000.

April 6

A vehicle driven by Benjamin Stimson of West Des Moines was struck by a vehicle driven by Michael O'Neill of Des Moines. Vehicle damage was estimated at $16,000.
