Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks, Big News and Two Great Social Events in Today's Daily Dose
You miss a couple days and the news keeps happening. Read about what you might have missed today.

I doubt you even noticed but I've been away the last couple of days. My fellow Iowa editors and I converged on Edina, Minn. to partake in a little Patch training Monday and Tuesday.
Normally I'm not a big fan of traveling for work but the last two days were so worth it. I learned so much from the editors up north and brought back a few ideas I plan to implement on Waukee Patch in the coming weeks. It hardly felt like work at all. I hope you'll like the what I have in store for you.
Of course, the two days I'm gone, big things happen in Waukee. My editor likened it to a watched pot that never boils. First, the and then near the intersection of Hickman and Alice's Roads.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. South wind between 6 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. South wind between 10 and 14 mph.
Lastly, you might notice that we have a few new Local Voices on our site. While their home base may not be Waukee, their blog posts still may be of interest to you. Remember, all voices are welcome here.
Get out there and enjoy the day. Have a great one!
