The Daily Dose: Praise Mom, Gorgeous Weather and Online Subscriptions

Yesterday I attended my daughter's kindergarten portfolio presentation at school. While I was there, I came to the sudden realization that this school year is almost over. Where did the time go?

Admittedly, I was one of those moms on the first day of school who stood by the front door crying as her baby started kindergarten. Now I can't believe it's almost over. What a sappy mom I am.

I have to get this off my chest, I'm really bothered by The Des Moines Register's recent subscription changes. For years I subscribed to the hard copy of the paper but always liked getting additional news online. Now, unless I continue to subscribe to the hard copy, I won't get all my online news. What? Working for Patch has definitely changed the way I think people should get their news but still. You shouldn't have to pay for the news. Ever.

Just a couple things to keep in mind, the is holding its monthly ambassador meeting today at 12 p.m. at the Waukee Chamber of Commerce office.
