The Daily Dose: Sidewalk Issues, 'Best Photographer' Extended and a Rainy Forecast
So much to talk about in today's Daily Dose - a sidewalk ordinance, time to vote and rain, rain and more rain chances.

Do your kids know what you do for a living? I ask because yesterday, out of the blue, my youngest daughter asked where I work. Before I had the chance, my oldest responded, "She works at Waukee Patch." I must be doing something right if even little kids know about Patch.
Did you read about the Waukee City Council's tour of city sidewalks yesterday? The whole sidewalk ordinance is such a hot button topic right now and it feels like no one is in favor of it. Saturday: A chance of rain before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Northeast wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. East northeast wind around 8 mph.
Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59.
Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.
