Good day, Waukee. How'd you sleep? Me, well, I slept like a baby, literally. Per a coversation I had with a friend recently, "sleeping like a baby" should really mean waking up every couple hours and not easily falling back to sleep. I'm exhausted.
Are you as sad as I was to hear that Dick Clark passed away? I fondly remember watching "American Bandstand" as a kid and just loving the music and the performances. It was MTV before we had MTV. New Year's Eve especillay won't be the same without him.
Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing Dr. Wes Nyberg at Waukee Wellness and Chiropractic. What a great group of people they have there! I can see why Waukee Patch readers voted Waukee Wellness and Chiropractic in the area. Read the profile on this great area business.

The this weekend and it's the perfect opportunity to see some high level wrestling. The trials determine which wrestlers will represent the United States at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

If you're looking for something fun to do tonight, check out Waukee's combined middle school production of at the Theatre Arts Center at Prairieview School. The show is at 7 p.m. If you miss tonight, there's a second show Friday night at 7 p.m. Tickets are $4 for students, $6 for adults.

Thursday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of showers. Low around 40. Breezy, with a north wind between 10 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Breezy, with a north wind between 13 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
