Three Incumbents Re-Elected to Waukee School Board

It was a well-run race for the six candidates campaigning for seats on the Waukee School Board but it was the three incumbents who came out the winners tonight.

Current board members , and will all return to the boardroom to serve a four-year term on the Waukee Board of Education. They beat out newcomers Todd Dohrmann, Rob Thelen and Kurt Hiatt for the spots.

The Board's reorganization will take place at its next meeting Sept. 27 at the

Fewer than 2,000 voters turned out to elect the School Board members. Votes for each candidate were as follows:

Susan Bunz - 388

Jerry Ripperger - 357

Larry Lyon - 354

Todd Dohrmann - 243

Kurt Hiatt - 219

Rob Thelen - 209
