ENCORE: Alice's Spaghetti Land Fundraiser Tonight at St. Boniface

The newly-launched Waukee Area Historical Society will kick off its fundraising efforts with an Alice's Spaghetti Land Night on Sunday from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

Hard to believe that a city with a history as rich as Waukee's has never had its own historical society.

Well, it hasn't. Until now.

Thanks to a project by students in the 2012 Waukee Leadership Institute class, the will now have its own historical society charged with gathering and documenting the timeline of this 134-year-old city in eastern Dallas County.
