Waukee Fire Department to Conduct Training at Old Elementary School, March 5

Residents are being advised that the Waukee Fire Department will be conducting nightly training sessions at the old Waukee Elementary School.

The Waukee Fire Department will be conducting nightly training for members of the fire department at the Old Waukee Elementary building at 400 Locust St. from March 5 - 11.

They will be working on tactical operations such as search and rescue of a
downed victim, ladder truck positioning to facilitate rescue, securing a second
means of egress, radio traffic communications and navigation of a dark/smokey interiors.

Nightly training will be conducted usually between 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. depending upon current call volume.
