A 26-year-old Waukee man who was charged with sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl will be arraigned on the charges May 18, according to court records.
According to a report by the Waukee Police Department, Matthew John Olcott was arrested and charged with third-degree sexual abuse on the morning of April 19 for having inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old girl.
He has been held in the Dallas County jail since his arrest. Bond has been set at $15,000 cash only.

Olcott has asked for a court-appointed attorney.
Court records show that the alleged victim in the case has been issued a protective order and Olcott must avoid contact with all children younger than 18.

Chief Larry Phillips of the Waukee Police Department said that the victim reported to police on April 16 that Olcott had inappropriately touched her. The incident allegedly happened on April 8 in the parking lot of Olcott's residence, 390 Fourth St.
The reported victim is not related to Olcott, the police chief said.
