Statewide Traffic Enforcement Program Results in Four Arrests in Waukee
Waukee Police responded to several calls last week during the special Traffic Enforcement Program. The effort resulted in three arrests for operating while intoxicated, among other charges.

Last week, the was one of 250 law enforcement agencies from around Iowa participating in a special Traffic Enforcement Program meant to take those violating traffic and other laws off the road.
If last week's police blotter is any indication, the program was something of a success.
In Waukee, the crackdown that took place March 15-18 netted three cases of operating while intoxicated and one report of driving while suspended.

No word on what Iowa's overall numbers were last week. In 2011, the Traffic Enforcement Program resulted in 18,284 traffic citations and warnings being issued statewide.
The Waukee Police Department will participate in the program again May 21 through June 2 during the National Click It or Ticket campaign.

March 12
Anna Dizdarevic of Waukee reported an identity theft in the 700 block of Southeast Murphy Drive.
March 14
Andrew Dunham, 32, of Des Moines was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense.)
March 15
Jason Makohoniuk of West Des Moines reported a theft in the 2300 block of Southeast L.A. Grant Parkway.
Scott Long, 36, of Waukee was charged with child endangerment.
Jacob Pierson, 28, of Waukee was charged with operating while intoxicated (second offense).
Andrea Tonelli-Hawbaker, 24, of Waukee was charged with operating while intoxicated (second offense).
March 16
Travis Baxter, 23, of Waukee was charged with public intoxication and interference with official acts.
Babus Conrad, 46, of Waukee was charged with driving while suspended.
A vehicle driven by Brandi Fowlie of Pleasant Hill was struck by a deer. Vehicle damage was estimated at $1,000.
March 17
Angela Goodrich, 40, of Urbandale was charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense).
Jeremy Keylon, 40, of Waukee was charged with domestic assault.
March 18
Carter Christianson, 23, of Adel was charged with disorderly conduct.
Brett McBroom, 29, of Waukee was charged with disorderly conduct.
A vehicle driven by Kelly Baker of Waukee was struck by a Realtor's sign that blew onto the car. Vehicle damage was estimated at $500.
