Waukee Police Blotter Nov. 1: Two Teens Cited for Driving Through Corn Field

Waukee police responded to a number of calls Oct. 31-Nov. 6 including reports of criminal mischief, OWI and possession of a controlled substance.

Waukee Police Charge Teens for Driving Through Corn Field

Two juveniles were charged with criminal mischief last week after they allegedly took a vehicle without permission and drove it into a corn field, damaging crops and the vehicle.

A 16-year-old from Waukee was charged with criminal mischief in the 30000 block of Ashworth Road on Tuesday, Nov. 1. A second male, age 15, was also charged in the same incident.

Total damage to the crops and/or vehicle has not yet been determined, authorities said.

Oct. 31

Soufiana Kaba of Waukee reported a theft in the 200 block of North Warrior Lane.

A report of harassment was taken in the 200 block of Waukee Avenue. 

Nov. 1

Employees with Submittal Exchange of Waukee reported criminal mischief to a business in the 400 block of Southeast Alice's Road.

Scott McClure, 33, of Des Moines was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for probation violation.

Nov. 2

Windfield II Townhomes of Des Moines reported criminal mischief to a construction site in the 300 block of Southeast Meadowlark Court.

Nov. 3

A vehicle driven by Dana Shepherd of Waukee struck a legally parked vehicle. Vehicle damage was estimated at $5,000. Shepherd was cited for failure to maintain control and operation without registration. 

Adis Mustedanagic, 22, of Waukee was arrested on a Clive warrant for failure to appear.

Nov. 4

Andy Newman of Urbandale reported a fraud in the 1100 block of Southeast University Avenue.

A vehicle driven by Anthony Denton of Urbandale was struck by a vehicle driven by Allison Siberz of West Des Moines. Vehicle damage was estimated at $4,200.

Alan Thorsen, 23, of Des Moines was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 6

Gordon Kratz, 48, of Waukee was charged with operating while intoxicated (first offense).

Bob Ruby of Waukee reported criminal mischief to a residence in the 100 block of Third Street.
