Waukee School Board Election Today

Six candidates, including three incumbents, are vying for three seats on the Waukee School Board. The polls open at 7 a.m. today.

After weeks of campaigning, six candidates will find out whether they did enough to secure or maintain a seat on the Waukee School Board when Waukee area residents go to the polls today beginning at 7 a.m.

Only three seats are available on the Waukee School Board. Incumbents , and are all seeking re-election, while challengers , and will attempt to unseat them for a four-year term on the board.

Standards-based reporting, communications, the school calendar, a need for additional schools, as well as early dismissal concerns were just a few of the topics of discussion among this year's candidates.

Voting

Polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If your election precinct is Waukee North, you will vote at the Waukee Administration Building, 560 S.E. University Ave. If you vote in Waukee South, you will vote at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 7075 Ashworth Road, West Des Moines.
