Waukee School District Releases Annual Report
The Waukee Board of Education received good news Monday night at its bi-monthly meeting in the form of an annual report.

A representative from the public accounting firm of Van Maanen, Sietstra & Meyer reported on the financial state of the Waukee School District at the board's bi-monthly meeting Monday night. And the news was good.
According to an audit of the Waukee Community School District, the district's revenues totaled $81,728,347 for the year ending June 30, 2011, a
9.1 percent increase from the prior year. Expenses totaled $70,017,791, a 2.4 percent decrease from the previous year. That makes for an increase in net assets of $11,710,556.
"It’s all good news," said Waukee Schools superintendent Dave Wilkerson. "We continue to work very hard in what I would call some of the toughest school budget years we’ve ever had. I'm pretty pleased with the results from last year and hope people will continue to pull together and do what's right for the kids."
