Waukee's 'Best Chiropractor' Focuses on Total Wellness for a Healthier Life

Dr. Wes Nyberg and his staff at Waukee Wellness and Chiropractic follow the practice of overall well-being, not just a singe aspect of living well.

His clinic swept last week with patients and devotees praising the work Dr. Wes Nyberg and his staff provide at

For someone who's so beloved by his clients, Nyberg is remarkably humble.

"That’s all because of my patients and my team," Nyberg said. "My patients are awesome and my team has a vision and a purpose to create a healthier community. That's what we do."

The "we" Nyberg is referring to is his staff at Waukee Wellness and Chiropractic, all of whom play a role in helping patients and clients live their healthiest life.

One of the ways they do that is through the 8 Weeks to Wellness program. Eight Weeks to Wellness is not just another diet and exercise plan. Instead it focuses on five core components - chiropractic, personal training, massage, nutritional guidance and guided meditation - to help clients acheive a healthier way of life.

"Being healthy is a lifestyle choice," said Nyberg. "The thing is, we all want you to succeed probably more than you do. We want you to be inspired and motivated so you can continue to live a healthy life even after the program is done."

Nyberg, who with his wife, Katie, opened Waukee Wellness and Chiropractic on Alice's Road in 2007. What started as a simple chiropractic office has since expanded to include everything from a massage room to a small gym where clients can work with an on-staff personal trainer.

For now, Nyberg says he's thrilled that people in Waukee have embraced his vision. He hopes that in the coming years, he'll be able to expand the business into a larger space thus offering more for his clients and helping others work toward total wellness.

"My mission is just to help people," he said. "If they want to feel better to garden because that’s their passion, then that’s my goal. I just want to help as many people as possible. I'm always happiest when other people around me are happy. If they are, then I am too."
