The Waukee Youth Football (WYF) league is a tackle football program for 3rd-7th grade students. The WFL has 4 grade divisions.(3rd-4th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade and 7th Grade) Players are drafted to teams based on current grade and not weight or age.

All equipment is provided except for practice jersey, mouth guard and cleats. Purple WFL practice jerseys will be available to purchase on the WFL website.   Practices are held around the Waukee High School complex. We will practice four days a week until the first game. Following the first game practices for 3rd-6th grades will cut down to 3 days a week for the remainder of the season. 7th Grade will remain at 4 days a week. We play a 5-7 game schedule with a majority of the games being played at the Waukee High School Stadium.

With the anticipation of additional teams we are looking for new coaches. If you want to coach, you will need to complete our coaching application and attend a coach’s clinic. Coach registrations are also done through the WFL Website. To register a player or to be a coach, go to http://www.waukeeyouthfootball.com.  The $180 Earlybird registration will be open until April 30th.  Registrations fee on 5/1 will increase to $195.

We are expecting a very large group of players this year and registrations can be closed anytime after 5/1 to ensure we have an acceptable player to coach ratio.  So we are asking people to sign up today!
