Pedestrian Hit By Car Monday Night In Clive Dies
The car that hit the man reportedly ended up down an embankment and on its side, KCCI-TV reported.
CLIVE, IA — A pedestrian died in Clive Monday night after being struck by a vehicle in the 11200 block of Hickman Road, KCCI-TV reported. The incident happened in the eastbound lanes.
KCCI said Clive police reported the victim was taken to an area hospital and later died from his injuries.
The vehicle involved, a 1998 Ford Expedition, was found down an embankment on the south side of the roadway and on its side. The vehicle's two occupants were not injured.

The victim’s identity was being withheld Tuesday afternoon, pending notification of family.
The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
