The Planning Committee for the 2022 West Des Moines Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is seeking nominations for persons who demonstrate leadership and volunteerism while making significant contributions in the areas of promoting peace and understanding; celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion; and improving communication and cooperation between diverse populations in the West Des Moines community.

Two awards will be presented. One will recognize a Community Leader and the other celebrates Youth Leadership.

The Community Leader will be individuals and/or organizations that work in West Des Moines.
Youth Leader must attend a West Des Moines School.
