On Friday, December 31st, through January 2nd, Officers from the West Des Moines Police Department in collaboration with the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau will be conducting a special traffic safety operation. During this project, there will be an increase in officer presence and enforcement throughout the city. Officers will be focusing on all traffic violations, with an emphasis on seatbelt usage and impaired driving over the New Year’s holiday.
