Join River City Pipes &amp; Drums with special guests Knocknasheega, Wichita’s own Celtic band, for an entertaining evening of music, song, and spoken word in honor of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns.
The concert is at Westwood Presbyterian Church, 8007 W Maple. Doors open at 7 PM, the concert begins at 7:30.
The family-friendly Burns Concert is free, and welcomes everyone interested in the Scottish tradition. The Pipers &amp; Drummers of River City look forward to seeing you there!

Smells Like Nirvana is based out of Chicago and is composed of seasoned pros and die hard fans of Nirvana fronted by Paul Wandtke (ex Trivium, Dead Original), w/ drummer SeanMcCole and bassist Mike Petrasek (Bedlem). Their live tribute to Nirvana is a haunting episode of grunge filled angst playing songs from Nirvana’s albums Bleach, Nevermind, In Utero andMTV Unplugged as well as rare b-sides and more; played without click tracks or backing tracks, a trait that is rare in today’s contemporary musical landscape, a trait and philosophy that Nirvana lived by.

Smells Like Nirvana at The Cotillion

Celebrate the legendary sounds of Nirvana &amp; Kurt Cobain with Smells Like Nirvana as they will perform songs from "Nevermind", "In Utero", "Bleach" and more (B-sides/rare songs) with support from Dead Original.

Dead Original's first album "Bought and Sold" is available now on all streaming platforms or via deadoriginal.com. Dead Original is supporting the show with a 30-minute set of songs from their first album.

The band features an ex member of the GRAMMY-Nominated metal band, Trivium, and hit musical "Rock of Ages" vocalist Paul Wandtke, with bassist Mike Petrasek and drummer Christopher Scheutz. Dead Original has toured and supported the legendary rock band Candlebox and has even supported bands such as Seether, Jonathan Davis (Korn), 10 Years and more.

Audiences are invited to make this show special by submitting a song request via smellslikenirvanatribute.com in advance.

Rising singer/songwriter Corey Kent has been writing and performing for nearly 2 decades. His tenacity, entrepreneurial mindset and drive matched with his vocal prowess and raw, relatable lyrics have helped Kent rise among the many. 
Self-described as an “old soul,” Kent finds himself musically at the intersection of rock infused country, heartland values and red dirt grit. His Texas hustle has poised him as Nashville’s next star power. 
Having developed his live show for over 15 years, the entertainer has shared stages with acts such as Parker McCollum, Cody Johnson and Eli Young Band. Drawing inspiration from The Eagles, Keith Richards, Turnpike Troubadors and more, Kent’s undeniable stage presence and bandana-wearing Rock ‘N’ Roll spirit comes to life on the stage.
The Oklahoma native now resides in Dallas where he and his wife raise their three kids.
