🌱 Heroin Drug Bust + Deadly River Road Car Crash + Housing Prices Up

Here are the top three stories in Baton Rouge today:

1. State troopers arrested a heroin dealer in a drug bust on Thursday. The police seized four types of drugs, almost $60,000 in cash, and two firearms. The arrested individual is 24 years old and had been arrested on drug charges three times prior to this arrest. (WBRZ)
2. One is dead and two are injured after a crash on River Road on Thursday. According to police, a vehicle was attempting to pass others at a high rate of speed when it struck another vehicle. The driver of the passing vehicle died, and the occupants of the struck vehicle were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (WAFB)
3. Housing prices are feeling the heat. Inventory of homes is down 43.5 percent since last year, and the reduction in supply is affecting prices big time. The median sales price in the Capital Region is $250,315. (Greater Baton Rouge Business Report)
