BATON ROUGE, LA– July 4th is quickly approaching which means it's time to fire up that barbecue, stock up on sparklers, and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the firework shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Baton Rouge so you can start planning how you'll celebrate our country’s 242nd birthday.

Kenilworth Independence Day Parade

Where: Boone Drive east of Kenilworth Parkway

Kick off your Fourth of July a day early with a patriotic parade. Don't miss the miles of red, white and blue marching through town this year.

City of Central Birthday Bash

What: Independence Day Celebration
Where: Central Football Stadium
When: July 4m 2018 / 7:00 p.m.

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets for this awesome fireworks display. Admission is free, and this year's huge choreographed fireworks are said to be even bigger than last year.

Red, White & Blue Celebration

What: Festival & Fireworks
Where: Shaw Center for the Arts
When: July 4, 2018 / 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Come on down to Shaw Center for the Arts to participate in this fun festival! Enjoy music, food, fun and of course, fireworks. There will be crafts for the kids so everyone can enjoy!

USS KIDD Fourth of July Spectacular

What: Fireworks Display
Where: USS Kidd Veteran Memorial & Musuem
When: July 4, 2018 / 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
